Punched Pumpkin Make n Take with Kevin LeMoine

I will be offering a short introduction to the art of Punch Needle Rug Hooking. I will be reviewing backings, frames, punch needles, usable materials and methods to achieve your desired look. After this introduction, I will be offering what is called a “Make N Take”. You will have to opportunity to try your hand at Punch Needle and Make a 5” round Coaster/Trivet that you will be able to Take with you. For a $5 fee you will receive a piece of Monks Cloth with a Seasonal Pattern, in keeping with the Harvest Hook In theme, as well as all the Yarn to complete your mini project. You will have the use of a punch needle, hoop, scissors and other necessary items to try your hand at this art form. Please note that this is meant to be a low key, relaxed introduction…… no stress involved please!

Kevin was born and raised in small town Amherst, Nova Scotia and is now settled in Shemogue, New Brunswick. He started his arts path in his early teens with Oil Painting, to be followed by Tole Painting which he successfully taught for 5 years. After many forays in the Fiber Arts, including Punch Needle Embroidery, Cross Stitch, Needlepoint and Latch Hook, Kevin was introduced to Traditional Rug Hooking by his Mother. Kevin has evolved into Punch Needle Rug Hooking where he has found great peace and relaxation in using the Amy Oxford Punch Needle. He is a Certified Oxford Punch Needle Rug Hooking Instructor and is offering classes throughout the area and is excited to spread the joy of Punch Needle Rug Hooking.
